Lunch at Farmer Boys. I had 3 eggs over hard with bacon, fruit, and tomatoes and 4 fried zucchini sticks.
In other news, I got a temporary seasonal job at a nearby Amazon warehouse and today was my New Hire Orientation. I'll be a "Full-Time Seasonal Warehouse Associate" at a PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) facility and there will be a LOT of standing and walking!
I used to use a Jawbone Up Move fitness tracker, but haven't used it in a couple of years. I dug it out the other day, paired it with my phone, and wore it for Orientation today. I plan to keep wearing it to see how many steps I take while at work.
I've lost all this weight this year (50 lbs!!) via diet only. I haven't increased my exercise or anything else, so I am curious to see how having this active job impacts my weight management.
I'll probably take screen shots of my tracker stats and post those to the blog, too, just to have a record of it.
I admit to being a bit worried about how I'm going to eat properly while at work. Right now, I plan to keep up with the breakfast smoothies. There's a nice big break room at the warehouse with plenty of fridge space to store a lunch, plus 6-7 microwaves to heat stuff up. They also have a mini-konbini thing where you can buy snacks, salads, and sandwiches from a cold case, plus 3-4 beverage vending machines. I haven't seen how busy the place gets at a normal weekday lunchtime, though, so for Monday (my first day), I plan to bring food that doesn't need to be heated up. What exactly that will be, I don't know yet, but I have to figure it out by tomorrow night!
Here's my step count for today. Ignore the percentage - it's based on an arbitrary goal I set of 6000 steps.
