Tues Sept 19 & Wed Sept 20

Breakfast: smoothie

Lunch at LAX airport, at the Panda Express. I had mushroom chicken, green beans & chicken, & teriyaki chicken with vegetables, plus a fortune cookie, with a Diet Pepsi. Bonus: I used my own chopsticks,
stainless steel straw, & napkin. (The paper napkins were already on the table.)






They served dinner on the plane. I had chicken in a cream sauce, plus some of the rice and carrots mixed in with the chicken. I also had the "Wee Brie" cheese. I gave my carrot cake to the young man sitting next to me. I had a small glass of red wine with dinner. 



I picked up some snacks at LAX too. I got a bag of popcorn (because yum), plus some dried carrots & green beans, plus a bag of the energy protein mix. All were from Watsonville, in SoCal. I didn't actually eat any of the popcorn or carrots & green beans, so I have them for my train rides and the rest of my trip. 

They also served a German-style breakfast on the plane I had a slice of cheese and a bit of turkey lunch meat. 

Once I got to Anneliese's house, I had some roasted chicken and some kraut salat (cabbage pickled in vinegar), plus some carrot sticks and a couple slices of persimmon and apple. I also had a beer. 

All in all a good day!

Lunch: lunch meat, cheese, veggies, "Energy Trail Mix"

Dinner: McNuggets with ketchup

Sat, Sept 16

I'm traveling, so had a shaker smoothie for breakfast.

Lunch at the meeting: I had lunch meat and cheese, plus fresh veggies.

Dinner at Applebee's: I had the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, with garlicky green beans with bacon as the side, instead of potatoes.

Breakfast: smoothie. I'm out of fermented strawberries & figs. And since I'll be traveling next week, I haven't made more. 

Dinner at El Pollo Loco. I had a 3 piece breast & wings plus double broccoli.

Dinner at chipotle: the usual



Late snack: fried mozzarella and fried zucchini

Breakfast: smoothie. 

Lunch at Red Robin. I had a burger with no bun, with cheese, bacon, and an egg over-hard, with steamed broccoli. 

After lunch, Brianne & I went to go see the 35th anniversary showing of Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan! 



We had popcorn, of course, because that is What Is Done. 👍

No lunch. 

Dinner at Denny's: I had their new "superfood kale salad" to start with. They were out of their usual dressing for it, so I had it with balsamic vinaigrette. It was really quite good!



For my main course, I had the appetizer sampler with mozzarella sticks, cheese quesadilla, & chicken strips. I forgot to take a pic.

Wed, Sept 6

Breakfast: smoothie

No lunch

Dinner at Chipotle, the usual: lettuce, carnitas, mild salsa, extra cheese.

Tues, Sept 5

Breakfast: smoothie

No lunch. 

Dinner at Wendy's: salad with apples, bleu cheese, and dried cranberries with a little bit of balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Breakfast at Panera: a bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich without the bread. 

Lunch at Old Bag of Nails: burger (no bun) with cheese & sautéed mushrooms, with a side of fruit. 

Dinner at Oakland airport: stir fried beef and broccoli, orange chicken, plus 4 gyoza.

Mom & I went to Frisch's Big Boy for breakfast again. I didn't get a pic, but I had 3 eggs scrambled with 4 slices of bacon. 

Snack: mixed nuts

Dinner: grilled steak with corn on the cob, and green beans with almonds.

Sat Sept 2

Mom & I went to IHOP for breakfast. I had the "Bacon Temptation Omelet". Here's the menu description:



Here's the one I got (with a side of fruit):



So good! 👍 Most Restaurants make omelets like crepes - that is, a thin layer of eggs surrounding the fillings like a wrap. This omelet was multiple layers of eggs interspersed with the fillings. Yay!

For dinner, I went to Max 'n' Erma's with friends. I had the "Garbage Burger" - burger patty, cheese, guacamole, marinara sauce, sautéed mushrooms & onions, & bacon - with no bun and a side of steamed broccoli:



I also had two glasses of beer.

Fri Sept 1

I had a shaker-smoothie for breakfast, then headed down to Newport Aquarium for the day. I took lots of pics, went on a backstage tour, and had lots of fun!




I took a break from the aquarium for lunch at Brother's Bar & Grill. I had a chicken sandwich (no bread) with cheese, bacon, & tomato with a side salad with oil & vinegar. 



After the aquarium, I stopped by Colerain to meet up with a friend, then went to Valley Vineyards, where I had a steak with green beans with almonds, and an ear of corn on the cob.

Thurs Aug 31

Mom & I went to Frisch's Big Boy for a late breakfast. I had a ham & cheese omelet with a side of fruit. 



For dinner, I had a cheese & meat tray from
Valley Vineyards. 



Doesn't that look great? It was yummy!
